GAME DAY: Sharks @ Canucks

Ok, show of hands... who predicted the Canucks would 5-0 in the preseason heading into this game? LIARS!!! Yes, it's pre-season, but the kind of hockey we are seeing from this team as the season draws near is at the least very encouraging. Balanced scoring, toughness, great D and amazing goaltending, but they will be tested tonight as they take on the San Jose Sharks at GM Place. The Sharks were not too impressed with their efforts Saturday night in the Shark Tank and have brought a lineup that is essentially what they will start the season with, so you can be sure Joe Thornton and co. will come out firing on all cylinders. Roberto Luongo is likely to get the night off, meaning Curtis Sanford will get the start. Sanford is coming off a shootout win Sunday night over the Ducks. Willie Mitchell and Kevin Bieksa will be back in the lineup tonight, and the line of the Sedins with Steve Bernier will be the #1 line for the home team, I wouldn't be surprised to see the Kesler/Hansen/Burrows line again tonight after their 8 point performance against the Flames. To be honest, I believe while it will be close, I expect the boys to drop this one. I hope to be wrong.
